    Only tangibly related but

All laws are made up, no matter how much your try force authoritarian rule people will always have the the inherent freedom to oppose.

The sooner we realize the natural anarchy of individuals the sooner we can replace build in forced compliance with build in aligned mutual interests.

People who have no interest in “committing wrong” usually don’t commit too many wrongs.

I have heard this in context of a kidnapping and asking a question only you will know the answer too.

The best solution to tell an imposter is by talking about a shared memory but changing some obvious details. You proof you are you by knowing the specific memory, they proof who they are by calling out the wrong detail.

Of course in context of a full clone, they would also have your memory and no amount of planning will help.

    “Debate solved”

Pandoras box opened they must mean.

If I replace the part of the ship with an identical one nothing about the function of the ship changes.

But words and sentences carry information and any change to it alters that information, even if it’s still about the same subject. The newer sentences may also be written by different people then the original sentences

2 texts from different authors covering the same real life event are considered different. Even if they are sold by the same store and got their titles mixed up.

On the other side you could define a Wikipedia article with its transformative nature over time as one of its main properties, in which case this is just a later stage of that same wiki article. Which does feel accurate.

So its not the same text but it is the same wiki article.

The ship is still the ship identified by the same name and repairs are normal part of ship maintenance. But we don’t usually specify this transformative nature when we define a ship or anything else.

    So is it solved?

  • Speaking from how i intuitively feel about the science…

It looks like waves can exists on a spectrum from low energy to high energy and the more energy you add the more there is potential for complex reactions, the more new properties emerge and thus the more potential damage there can be done to given matter.

dB can be seen as the measurement of vibration that is usually used for the range of waves we call sound waves but i see no reason why it cant work outside the scope.

So technically feel the waves are really the same, but then compare that to the electromagnetic spectrum and we label some ranges as colors.

If red is the color that makes us angry. And green makes us calm. Then the question we are asking is: What shade of green do we need to make us angry?

Because were getting hung up on the fact there both measurements of photonic light, so essentially the same?

Is that a fair comparison? Can someone get a real scientist in the room please?

  • Don’t ask me, i am left with the exact same question myself. Which is why i felt the need to add the not a scientist disclaimer.

Though i did some research just now and its because the waves exhibit different very different properties

It might be a chicken and egg thing. Does it have different properties because it is fundamentally different, Or did we call it different because different properties emerged under different conditions (like having more energy)

In earnest there is something to this. Friends can usually already work together. I am seeing a ton of early-career benefits for both employee and employer.

In practice though, an employer is unlikely to touch even the idea that you might fraternise outside of the established office culture.

People want the means to survive, grow and live in comfort. Just because we live in a capitalist dystopia does not mean the current requirement to live is what we want.

If you have all of those and somehow cant find a passion that creates value i rather have you sit at home and do nothing because i have no expectation the work will be of any quality.

Of course you wouldn’t sit at home and do nothing because that would be boring and people with the means to be mentally and physically healthy expect more of themselves.

Point to the “dirty” jobs like swiping the streets and i’ll point to the volunteers doing a much better job keeping things clean then the career people. Passion and the inherent desire to make things better is everything.

All the important cyber security stuff is free software nowadays, because it is superior software in every possible way you can measure.

  • So to summarize.

They want us to trade resources to transfer the ownership of “a measurement” of an entity its irresponsible behaviour with resources to a different entity.

This somehow makes it more likely that the institutions with the most economic resources let others use those resources for a small long term profit to those institutions?

Ands this does what exactly for the common human or the wellbeing and natural resources of the shared planet?

For all i understand this can create world peace but i am gonna need someone to explain that one to me if that is the case.
