Why is the word “Israel” in quotes like that?

Yup. The other day, I made an angry comment about an environmental issue. Somebody replied with a sarcastic “congrats, you solved it”. Solving it wasn’t what I was trying to do. I was just venting.

We all need to do that sometimes.

They’re inundated with propaganda (like we all are), and they can’t face the fact that their own government is committing such horrors. Plus, they just don’t want to think critically about the situation.

None of that excuses them, but simply writing them off as “evil” doesn’t help.

If they visited the U.S., they’d only be harassed by ICE anyway. Plus, there is no reason to try and negotiate with the current government. Denying them visas is nothing but a pointless “insult”.

The Metropolitan Police said that a 39-year-old man is wanted by them for breaching restrictions placed on his activities, and is also separately being investigated for “any possible” fraud offences.

What’s the point of including this paragraph, when it doesn’t include a name or photo? It’s completely useless.

Under other circumstances I’d be willing to accept the “mercy killing” argument, but burning someone alive is NOT mercy. This woman needs help.

I’ve only seen a handful of articles from these folks, but they seem pretty thoughtful. This one is no exception. My favorite part:
