Bezos, for example, can’t deliver every Amazon Prime package nor can he deploy every Amazon Web Services server. Their jobs as CEOs would literally not exist without the laborers.

It’s a serious mental illness and it needs to be fucking treated as such. If anyone needs to be institutionalized it’s people like this.

Accounting for the metropolitan area population, Mexico City is the fifth largest city in the world. If your business can’t survive without tourists in that environment, something is wrong with the business, not the lack of tourism.

There’s a difference though, Mexico has had a huge influx of US remote workers who basically hang out as tourists and literally are gentrifying Mexico City and raising the cost of living because locals can’t compete with the wages the US citizens get in US dollars, which are (currently) more valuable than the Mexican Peso. This absolutely raises the cost of living as the city begins to cater more and more to US remote workers and less and less to the actual citizens of Mexico City.
