It wouldn’t push Venezuelans to not want whoever reforms them once the U.S. scuffle is over to not join BRICS as well, and move away from the U.S. dollar. They already wanted in now if I remember, but Brazil vetoed it.

Why are they producing wine at ports, I would think the salt would effect the vines. /s
It looks like his words on the topic were focused around the preservation of hardware and the “protection” of U.S. officials do to the known fact that U.S. troops do perform tasks that fall outside legal realms. (Whether under order or not). He focused on saying that it opens the door for private entities to investigate the U.S.'s actions abroad which could fracture the Governments ability to sweep shit under the rug. To me it seems to say, if someone does something horrific, whether they were ordered to or not, the governing bodies of the 2 countries can negotiate a resolution that they think is best for their countries regardless of whom was hurt and the direct effects of individuals who were effected.
Like if the U.S. does a missile strike on Iran supposively aiding Israel, and Iran strikes the U.S. military outposts in the area back, the governments can decide it was tit for tat or some shit, not caring about the individuals murdered in the process, as it helps them long term. Allowing this to go through would in theory allow countries like Iran to use apply similar exceptions so the families/friends/companies could go to their court without reguard of their government and if a bases is found they could launch an investigation. Which ultimately if it was in our government, a lower court would find it legally viable to investigate, and as it went up the appeals courts would get pressure until it was shut down, showing the corruption that justice doesn’t occur for individuals, but rather just protects the whole or just the government officials involved.

What’s the point in tarrifs if you exempt the main money makers? What are we taxing, jackfruits?
Apple moved its iPhone 17 production sites to India to avoid tariffs in Chinda didn’t they? Now anyone who buys one needs to pay Tariffs to get them into the country right… Or do they have an exemption?
I would have figured they see it as a point system, and if your below X when the end of times occurs, which is inevitable and of course didnt matter for every generation before or after theirs because they were already dead or yet to be born… they tally up their points. If they judged their neighbor -10 points. Drank a beer, -10 points, listened to rock and roll -10 points. Had sex out of wedlock -100 points. Had sex without trying to make a child -100 points. Lusted for / checked out someone, -50. Vanity, Greed… -75 points. Positives, helping others is really the only way I can think of to increase the score. And a lot more people are complaining about people in traffic than helping people cross the street.
If it were the end of times made by gods, a person shouldn’t have any ability to stop it.
Sounds more like their God is testing them on whether or not they are a good person, and they are failing spectacularly.
Okay that made me chuckle. I was like who said burn her at the stake?.. Oh
The only thing that made me do a double take was that the ambassadors name was MaryKay Carlson. As an American, that name seems very American.
Intel turned out the deal to supply chips for the iPhone on 2007, come 2017 Ryzen processors started matching/beating Intel chips at a lower price point. Then Intel bought Habana to try to get into the AI market essentially, and made the announcement in 2024 that they couldn’t compete with that NVIDIA made.
So they were losing at GPUs, CPUs, and basic chip manufacturing to Samsung and TSMC.
Then earlier this year they hired this guy after they had already run into an iceberg and the ship was sinking.
They can’t just throw a patch on the Titanic, they have to build a new ship.
I expect to see Intel drop off the map and throw everything into research and development hoping for the next big thing.
What did he do? I thought the guy just started and walked into a company that tanked itself over the last few years.
Alaska, the place Putin and co signed a decree to investigate whether or not they could make a claim that Alaska was still part of Russia. And Trump thinks Putin is going to fly to Alaska on the assurance that enough of them voted for the felon who likes Putin to not kill him.
That’d be the quickest way to end their invasion. Someone shoots Putin while visiting the U.S. and suddenly their government goes scrambling to fill the vacuum while trying to figure out how not to look weak for not attacking the U.S.
Easiest solution would be for whoever took over there to say the war in Ukraine was Putin’s stupid war and a detriment to Russia and they were better off now that he was dead. Say they will leave to the borders that existed in 2022 with no reperations needed to be paid knowing it would save them having to waste resources trying to hold those lands for decades to come.
Ukraine would probably sign that treaty as well. Hell Trump could sell it as he meant for Putin to get killed and ask for his peace prize. Or if Trump was smart he’d have signed off on the military killing him when the plane landed here.
And restart the invasion in a few years, because clearly it’s advantageous to murder innocent people.
I mostly see Russia restocking and attacking Ukraine again in 3-4 years if a peace deal was actually signed. I don’t see them attacking a NATO country until after they finish taking Ukraine and the U.S. has done their best at dismantling NATO so Russia faces less opposition.
Then by all means by Sweedens laws Texas should arrest all of the Democrat congressmembers who left the state and tell them next year why they were arrested after forcing their replacements to sign by threatening to arrest anyone who won’t show up and allow their vote.
Doesn’t seem like freedom though, seems like abduction
Holding someone without evidence is. You can’t detain someone indefinitely until you find proof of what you think they may have done. That’s called abduction. Which is why most places have a set 8 hour hold time before you have to press charges or release them.
I agree they should, but a lot of propaganda went into making them out to be only acting in self defense. And decades of anti-middle eastern populous’ propoganda made that easy to do.
It’s nice that some groups are slowly realizing, but it’s also likely far to little, way to late. Hopefully many of them will be saved though
Do you believe in imprisoning people indefinitely without proof of crimes? Has Israel committed crimes, yes. Have these individuals? We don’t know. Unless they had proof of those individuals doing wrong I would see it as abduction. Fuck the IDF, but if you toss out habeus corpus as fast as Trump wanted too, it won’t help the people, it will just harm everyone.

Counties like France should just respond with peace terms stating that the U.S. gives Alaska back to Russia, Hungary gives Budapest to Russia, and Ukraine gets back their 2014 borders. Then when Trump and Orban say that’s rediculous, they can say it’s the same feeling they have deliberating on Ukraine giving up their lands to another country.
Trump and Orban must be anti peace if they don’t want to go through with it based on Putin and Trump’s logic
