For me it’s a mental image, which is definitely distinct from a collection of descriptions. I don’t really know how to describe it, but it feels like my head uses circuitry close to do there visual circuitry while I’m focusing on this kind of mental image. Almost like the mental image is “injected” into hardware/software used for other visual processing.
I used to have the same question. What finally convinced me was imagining an apple sitting on a table. When I try to imagine specific parts (e.g. the stem, or the specular shine on its skin, or water beads on its side) I can actually see that part of the apple in my head, and the images change when I change the color, form etc.

Given that cloud providers are desperately trying to get more compute resources, but are limited by chip production - yes, of course? Why do you think they’re trying to expand their resources while their existing resources aren’t already limited?
My guy, we’re not talking about just leaving a model loaded, we’re talking about actual usage in a cloud setting with far more GPUs and users involved.
They are, it’d be uneconomical not to use them fully the whole time. Look up how batching works.

You can, but that’s not the kind of LLM the meme is talking about. It’s about the big LLMs hosted by large companies.
It’s closer to running 8 high-end video games at once. Sure, from a scale perspective it’s further removed from training, but it’s still fairly expensive.

Sometimes people take other people joining early as a cue that the meeting starts early, so there’s a chance I’d miss stuff. Our company is very good with meetings actually making sense, so missing 5 minutes can be quite annoying.

That would annoy me, since Teams shows a “meeting started” popup when the first person joins a meeting.
I’d argue it’s a great indicator, as expenses are necessarily tied to the wages of the population. An example like yours simply doesn’t happen.
This means you have to come up with a representative example of how to calculate expenses, and I haven’t seen a better approach for that than median wage, which seems to correlate highly with expenses.
Of course it’s possible. The minimum wage doesn’t directly affect the median wage (unless more than half the population only gets the minimum wage).
